My twitter bio states that I’m a Melburnian, journo, world explorer, Dee’s supporter and happy all-rounder.
I’ve always had an obsession with magazines and on last count had over 300 stacked in my room. If you define me by my mag choices- I’m a little bit trashy (WHO, NW, even a few old Women’s Day and Australian Women’s Weekly ), I pretend to workout and eat super healthy (Women’s Health, Good Health, Cosmo Annual Health), hold on to my youth and celebrity loving (Cosmo & Cleo), pretend I’m older and in more ‘serious relationships’ than I am (Madison, Inside Style), pretend I’m uber intellectual and worldly (National Geo, TIME, Financial Review, Vanity Fair) and think I’m fashionable and ‘on trend’ (SHOP, Vogue, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar).
I’m an independent oldest child and very close to my family and friends. I’ve FINALLY finished uni and even though I’m a summer loving, partying, Gen y drinking lady – I’m also a bit of a geek who wears Clark Kent glasses, loves Harry Potter, watching cooking shows and has a thesis on asylum seekers and refugees.
Ironically, even though I LOVE Australia I’ll probably end up travelling the world working (hopefully as a TV reporter!) while keeping an eye out for ‘Mr Right’.
Pretty much I’m a typical Gen Y lady who wants to learn about the big wide world - and as long as my grandparents think I’m doing well it’s all okay.
Kate xx
